CC Sabathia Brilliantly Trolls Jose Altuve on Instagram After Astros Star Guarantees 2020 World Series Appearance

It seems former New York Yankees southpaw CC Sabathia is keeping a close eye on the Houston Astros in the fallout of their sign-stealing scandal. He's had much to say about it recently, and on Saturday after Jose Altuve spoke to the media about everything, Sabathia was ready for the perfect opportunity to pounce.

He did just that on Instagram after Altuve guaranteed the Astros would be back in the World Series next season. And he could be right, as long as Houston's players go through a detector before stepping into the batter's box.

CC is retired and somehow winning this battle week after week. There's no denying he's been the most entertaining critic throughout all of this, and it's very much warranted. The 19-year veteran was hoping to get one more World Series ring before hanging up the cleats and the Astros eliminated the Yankees in the ALCS in two out of the last three years.

Can we get CC in the booth somewhere? This guy's commentary is much needed after the body of work we've seen this offseason.

Sabathia would be a no-nonsense voice during any game, which is what the MLB needs. Maybe that could be his next job with the Yankees.
