VIDEO: CeeDee Lamb Pulls Down Deep Ball From Jalen Hurts to Set up Oklahoma TD vs LSU
By Karl Rasmussen
The LSU Tigers got off to a hot start in the Peach Bowl, forcing a quick three-and-out and subsequently scoring on their first drive. Well, the Sooners didn't stay down for long. After getting the ball back midway through the first quarter, Oklahoma charged back with a huge play of their own, as CeeDee Lamb was on the receiving end of a 51-yard heave from Jalen Hurts.
Lamb, the most lethal weapon in Oklahoma's offense, showed off why he's regarded as one of the best NFL prospects on the Sooners' roster. He hauled in the deep ball for the huge gain, and the team followed it up with a quick score.
Kennedy Brooks was able to punch it in from three yards out to bring the score even...for the moment.
Brooks will be credited with the touchdown, but it was the connection between Lamb and Hurts that made this possible for Oklahoma.
