Kemba Walker was stretchered off the court on Friday evening after a scary collision with teammate Semi Ojeleye. Many were concerned that Walker had suffered a potentially serious neck injury due to the nature of the collision, but we've now been given an update on his status.

According to Shams Charania, Walker is dealing with concussion-like symptoms as a result of the collision, though the reporter didn't indicate any issue with Walker's neck.

That's certainly an encouraging first report. Though concussions are worrisome injuries, this is a far better diagnosis than what many fans had feared.

Walker is being transported to a hospital in Denver for further examination, but it looks as if both he and the Celtics dodged a major bullet. Further details will likely be available in the morning.

We're hoping Walker recovers from this scary ailment quickly and is able to return to the floor for the Celtics before long.
