Celtics, Patriots and Bruins Haven't Lost a Home Game in Regulation This Season and That's Absurd
By Andy Loughmiller
There is a reason Boston sports fans are so insufferable. It's because they can be.
The Boston area has enjoyed much success over the past two decades. The four local teams have won 12 championships since 2000.
And now, right on time, all of your annoying friends who hail from one of the New England states will have a new statistic to brag about.
Three of the four major sports organizations in Beantown have yet to lose a home game (before OT, NHL heads) during this entire season. The Boston Celtics and the New England Patriots are both undefeated at their home stadiums, while the Boston Bruins have not trailed a single home game at the end of regulation, picking up valuable points along the way.
To take things a step further, the Red Sox, Revolution, and Pride all boast perfect home records since September 28. That is absolutely absurd.
Everybody is tired of Boston sports fans gloating about how good their teams are, but it's hard to argue with these numbers.
The Patriots could be the first of this bunch to lose a home game this season, with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs scheduled to come to town on Sunday.
They won't, though.
