Chad Morris Gets Destroyed on Twitter After Guaranteeing Arkansas Win and Getting Blown Out
By Sean Facey
Chad Morris went into Saturday with all of the confidence in the world. He was so confident in his Arkansas Razorbacks, he assured a win against Mississippi State.
His confidence was most definitely misplaced, though. The Razorbacks took an embarrassing 54-24 loss to the Bulldogs, fell to 2-7 on the year, and now the head coach is taking loads of flak on social media for his misguided guarantee.
Things were looking bleak early when the Bulldogs jumped out to a 31-10 lead in the second quarter.
By the end of the half, the lead had grown to 28, and questions about his job security already started rolling in.
Fans were rightfully unhappy with the performance.
The box score looked like a massacre by the end of the game. In a game that was supposed to be a guaranteed win, the Razorbacks defense was non existent, allowing 54 points and a whopping 640 total yards. Yikes.
The Razorbacks are, for lack of a better phrase, cooked under Chad Morris.
Maybe next time around, Morris will think twice before assuring a win against an SEC team.
It was a slaughter on the field for the team and a slaughter off of it for Morris. He was foolish enough to bet big on this game, and now he's just reaping what he sewed.
