Chicago Bears chairman George McCaskey announced on Sunday that Chance the Rapper may be the headliner at the concert in Grant Park on Thursday, Sept. 5.

The concert will take place before the Green Bay Packers and the Bears game at Soldier Field to kick off the NFL season. The game is slated to begin at 7:20 p.m.

The Grammy-winning Chance the Rapper is from Chicago and looks to be a part of festive fan event before and during the game. The event is supposed to celebrate the Bears and the NFL's 100th season, and will also be capped by a watch party.

The Bears enter the 2019 season with high hopes after being knocked out of the playoffs last year in a soul-crushing fashion. Chicago last won a Super Bowl in the 1985 season, the same year of the famous "Super Bowl Shuffle."

The team will hope to win a championship nearly 35 years later, when the season will kick off with a dancing crowd.
