Chandon Sullivan Was Quietly a Gem for the Packers This Year

The Green Bay Packers saw the defense thrive under Mike Pettine in 2019. The unit's development was aided by contributions from both veterans and younger players.
Chandon Sullivan was one of those younger players for the Packers defense. He was undrafted out of Georgia State in 2018 and joined Green Bay for the 2019 season. That turned out to be a great decision for both sides, as Sullivan excelled while playing in limited snaps.
Chandon Sullivan quietly had a terrific season for the Packers. Played 350 snaps, broke up 6 passes, allowed zero TDs, a 35.5 completion percentage and a 34.3 passer rating on throws into his coverage.

Allowing zero touchdowns on 350 snaps is quite the accomplishment. The team signed him for a minimum deal and got excellent play in return. Sullivan logged 28 tackles, one interception, six pass breakups and one forced fumble in 2019.
The top corners in Green Bay are Kevin King and Jaire Alexander. After that duo is Tramon Williams. Most Packers fans can name that trio. Only those watching on a regular basis know that Sullivan is an extra weapon this postseason. The 23-year-old only featured in more than 50% of snaps in five games.

The young corner provides depth and opposing offenses may be caught off guard with how solid he is coming off the sideline. He is also ready to go if any of the veterans are struggling in a must-win game.
