Chargers fire Brandon Staley after embarrassing loss to Raiders

You had a feeling this was coming. If anything, Chargers fans were hoping it'd come at halftime. We're of course talking about Chargers head coach Brandon Staley, who has been under fire throughout the 2023 campaign.
On Thursday night, things reached a new low. At halftime against the Raiders, the Chargers were down 42-0. They ended up losing 63-21. Because of that, and how poorly the team has looked this year, it's no surprise that Staley was fired on Friday morning.

How in the world did this even happen? The loss to Vegas was a joke, as being down 42-0 at halftime was simply unacceptable. Yes, Justin Herbert was out of action due to a broken index finger, but still, this team showed no fight. At the end of the day, that's on Staley.
