Chargers Just Signed a D-Lineman With the Most Appropriate Name Ever
By Adam Weinrib

The entire NFL offseason is a race between contenders to shore up gaps, make splashy additions, and rearrange the deck chairs in the most effective fashion possible.
But the Chargers just innovated on the form Thursday.
Instead of simply signing the best fit, why not also sign people whose names sound like the posititon they're intended to play?
Meet the Chargers new DT, a D-liner whose name is Dee Liner.

Getting some real "People Who Look Like Things" vibes over here.
All Dee Liner wants is some dignity and respect on his name too, though. The 25-year-old out of Arkansas State (via Alabama) was first-team All-Sun Belt in 2017, and recorded 34 tackles the season prior, after transferring.
I think the more important question here is: Does Liner have any more eligible family members?
Cousin of Dee-Cleater

They legislated Dee Cleater out of the game years ago. Never should've gone after Tom Brady's kneecaps.
Nice, looking forward to the addition of Sam Linebacker, too!

Sam Linebacker? Come on, folks, there's no such position as a "Samfensive Linebacker." That one just doesn't work.
Best of luck in the preseason, Dee! And also, D. The Chargers D (Dee) is (are?) legit.
