With the birth of a new football season upon us, fans are sure to be excited on Thursday as the Los Angeles Chargers take on the Arizona Cardinals in a preseason matchup.
Much of the talk surrounding the Chargers this summer has been about Melvin Gordon's hold out and trade request. Although Philip Rivers continues to lead the offense, Los Angeles may struggle to replace Gordon's productivity. That being said, running back Justin Jackson is impressing so far in camp and Austin Ekeler looked great last year.
The 2019 season for the Cardinals is all about Kyler Murray, the No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft. It seems way too early for the Cardinals to compare Murray to MVP Patrick Mahomes, but Murray will be watched closely in his professional football debut. Maybe Arizona has finally found their quarterback of the future after several fails in recent years.
