Chase Young's Old Tweet Bashing the Redskins Sure is Hilarious on Draft Night
By Michael Luciano

Ohio State defensive end and Maryland native Chase Young was selected No. 2 overall in the 2020 NFL draft by the Washington Redskins, which marks a return to the state he grew up in. Young's Twitter activity, however, would suggest that he wasn't always super passionate about the Redskins.
Young's Twitter page includes a questionable tweet from 2014, as he claimed that the Redskins were still going to be awful, no matter who they selected in the draft that year.

Someone has got some explaining to do. Oddly enough, Young proved prophetic, as the Redskins went 4-12 the next season with Jay Gruden at the helm.
The Redskins were thrilled when they found they were in a position to land Young, who recorded 16.5 sacks during his final year at Ohio State. He is expected to start right away in Year 1 and pair with Montez Sweat on the edge for Ron Rivera in DC.

Welcome to DC @youngchase907 https://t.co/MjushUKFfp
Young will be a superstar edge rusher for the next decade in the nation's capital, but he wasn't always so complimentary of his new franchise.
