The Chicago Cubs parted ways with manager Joe Maddon after a disappointing 2019 season in which they missed out on the postseason. Although Maddon had a golden parachute with the Los Angeles Angels, it's clear that he still has love for the Cubs and their fanbase.

Maddon and his wife Jaye took out a full-page ad in the back of the Chicago Tribune in order to thank the fans for their continued support and to wish them well with David Ross at the helm in 2020. And it's perfectly Maddon, and perfectly bonkers.

The ad is all over the place and used about 50 different font and color combinations, but we wouldn't expect anything less from a guy who always seemed to have a unique managerial style.

Maddon, who led the Tampa Bay Rays to their first ever World Series appearance, won 58% of his games in charge of the Cubs, piling up a 19-18 postseason record in the process, making him an excellent hire for the Angels.

Maddon will be remembered forever at Wrigley for leading the team that finally broke the curse, but his time a Cubs manager finally came to an end. Even though he might be an Angel right now, the love that Cubs diehards have for Maddon will never die out.
