Chiefs and Steelers missed out on Whitney Mercilus

Earlier in the day, news broke that stud pass-rusher Whitney Mercilus had agreed to a new deal with the Green Bay Packers. To make things even better for Green Bay is that they won out over some stiff competition.

Per Aaron Wilson, who broke the original news of the GB move, Mercilus was also considering joining the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers.

If you're a KC fan, this has got to hurt. The defense, outside of a strong showing against the Washington Football Team in Week 6, has looked awful this year. Adding Mercilus would have been huge. Steelers supporters surely are frustrated here too.
