Chris Jones has been out of commission since Week 5, but it looks like the esteemed pass rusher could be back in action this weekend for the Chiefs.

Jones, who has been dealing with a groin strain, returned to practice as a full participant on Thursday, boding well for his availability on Sunday when the Chiefs host the Minnesota Vikings.

The 25-year-old was limited in practice on Wednesday, so he's clearly taking a step forward as he looks to return to the field.

Jones has appeared in five games for the Chiefs this year, recording 11 tackles, two sacks, and a fumble recovery.

He had a career year in 2018 when he posted 15.5 sacks, forced two fumbles, defended five passes, and registered 29 quarterback hits.

It's still unclear if Jones will be available for Sunday's tilt, but the fact that he was a full participant in Thursday's practice is a good sign.

He initially suffered the groin injury in early October during a Week 5 clash against the Colts.
