Chiefs Get Best-Case Scenario MRI Results on Patrick Mahomes' Knee Injury
By Michael Luciano

Rejoice, NFL fans of every team (except maybe the Raiders and Patriots)! Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will be seen again this season.
Many instantly feared the worst for the 2018 MVP after he almost needed to be carted off the field on Thursday Night Football against the Denver Broncos, although he was able to walk off under his own power. While the MRI confirmed he dislocated his kneecap, he suffered no ligament damage and isn't expected to miss a lot of time.
The MRI has confirmed the #Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes suffered a dislocated kneecap, but not significant additional damage, sources tell me and @JamesPalmerTV. He’ll seek additional opinions to be sure. The plan is for him to return this season after a brief absence.

Mahomes is currently leading the NFL in passing yards (2,180) and passing touchdowns (15) while trailing only Russell Wilson in passer rating.
The gunslinger was relieved in this game by Matt Moore, who went 10-19 for 117 yards and a touchdown to Tyreek Hill.
Without Mahomes, Kansas City will play the Packers, Vikings, Titans, Chargers before they take their Week 12 bye.

Mahomes out for a month would normally cause the entire state of Missouri to go comatose, but Chiefs Kingdom is probably breathing a heavy sigh of relief that his injury isn't as bad as it looked.
