The Kansas City Chiefs faced the media Monday night as Super Bowl week is officially underway.

Media scrums during this week are notoriously filled with reporters from all over the world and sometimes individuals can goad a player into saying something he shouldn't. The Chiefs did their best to avoid taking any bait.

The goal is to avoid giving the other team any bulletin board material and the Chiefs players and coaches were smart to keep it simple and only offer up praise about the San Francisco 49ers defense, specifically Richard Sherman.

Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes offered up kind words to the 49ers defense while Chris Jones decided not to take part in any trap questions.

Not knowing how to spell Jimmy Garoppolo's name could lead to wild headlines of the Chiefs disrespecting the quarterback by not even knowing his name. That's just a sly question by a reporter looking for an easy story.

The Chiefs are too wise for such traps and proved their collective professionalism Monday.
