Chiefs HC Andy Reid Gives Positive Update on Patrick Mahomes’ Hand Injury

The Kansas City Chiefs and their Super Bowl aspirations rely on the rocket arm of Patrick Mahomes. It goes without saying, but any injury for him would be a complete and total disaster.
He has already dealt with a knee injury this year, which forced him to miss some time. Against the Patriots, he was dealing with a hand injury, which had fans concerned. Well, this latest update from Andy Reid will surely help fans sleep tonight.
"Patrick [Mahomes'] hand is OK. It's bruised up pretty good but there's no break."

Despite clearly being in pain, Mahomes was able to fight through things and didn't miss any snaps in the heart-stopping 23-16 win over New England.
With Kansas City getting ready to (hopefully) go on a deep postseason run, Mahomes' health is a top focus. Fortunately for Kansas City, it doesn't look like this is anything serious and he'll be able to keep running the offense with no issues.
“It was hard for him to grip the ball...but he powered through it.”

The Chiefs clinched a division title with the win over NE, but are still chasing a first-round bye in the AFC. They'll take on the Denver Broncos this weekend, a team which stunned the Houston Texans on Sunday.
With Mahomes dealing with a bruised hand, we'll see how the team decides to handle his workload during practice this week. But, from the looks of Reid's comments, nothing will stop No. 15 from taking the field for the big divisional showdown.
