Before Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre officially retired in January of 2011, he toyed around with the idea for several years and had strung the media along.

Well, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is stoking those flames again.

It looks like Reid was a fan of Favre's Instagram account being hacked earlier this summer. A post went up declaring Favre would be returning to the NFL in 2020 and fans absolutely lost their minds.

Favre visited Kansas City this week and spoke to the Chiefs, and Reid said the former Green Bay Packers gunslinger could still throw the ball very well.

That had to be a joke, right?

While it's still plausible he can throw a nice spiral, the man is going to be 50 years old in a couple months. He would suffer a season-ending injury the first time he was hit by a 300-pound defensive lineman.

You can never put anything past Favre and whether he's coming out of retirement, but he shut that rumor down this summer when he revealed his account was hacked and a comeback wasn't in the cards for 2020.
