Bills' Latest Impressive Win Should Give Chiefs Even More Motivation to Avoid No. 4 Playoff Seed
By Andy Loughmiller

The Buffalo Bills are finally beginning to get the respect they deserve after dominating the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day. As a result, if the NFL Playoffs were to begin today, the Kansas City Chiefs would be the fourth seed in the AFC and be forced to play the 9-3 Bills on Wild Card weekend.
With that in mind, the Chiefs should be increasingly motivated to secure the three-seed. Drawing whichever team ends up at No. 6 would almost certainly be an easier matchup for Patrick Mahomes and Co. than the sneakily dangerous Bills.

Buffalo's defense is currently third-best in the league in terms of yards per game allowed. Specifically, their secondary is one of the stingiest units in the entire NFL when it comes to stopping the pass. This would not make for a favorable matchup for pass-happy KC. They ought to avoid that collision course at all costs.

Kansas City definitely has the offensive personnel to conquer Buffalo's defense if they play their best game, however. And despite how well Josh Allen has been playing as of late, Mahomes is a far, far better quarterback, and he gives the Chiefs a chance to win any game he plays in.
But that doesn't mean the Chiefs shouldn't do whatever they can to win the No. 3 spot, especially after seeing what the Bills did against the Cowboys' highly-touted passing attack on Turkey Day.
