Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy Reportedly Turns Down Colorado Job and Will Remain With Kansas City
By Michael Luciano

Colorado tried to swing for the fences with their next head coaching hire after Mel Tucker suddenly left for Michigan State by bringing in former Buffaloes star and current Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy as his replacement.
What sounded too good to be true when the rumors started up proved to be just that, as Bieniemy has taken his name out of consideration for the job.
A source confirms that Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy has indeed bowed out of consideration for the Colorado job, as @MikeKlis and others have reported.

Bieniemy was passed over for several head coaching jobs this season despite helping Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs win a Super Bowl behind one of the most electric offenses in all of football. It appears Bieniemy still has a job in the pros on his mind.
The current favorite for this job is Air Force head coach Troy Calhoun, who has done an admirable job recruiting and winning in Colorado Springs. The Falcons just wrapped up their first 11-win season with him at the helm. Alabama OC and former USC coach Steve Sarkisian, as well as former Arkansas coach Bret Bielema, are also being discussed.
I'll also say I'm not nearly as down on Troy Calhoun as it seems a lot of CU fans are.

He has a bit of a Tad Boyle vibe to him, is widely regarded as a great football mind and, in my opinion, has done an admirable job recruiting to Air Force.
CU could do much worse.
Bieniemy returning home to Boulder would have been brilliant for Buffaloes fans, but one of the top assistants in football is staying in Kansas City as he angles for an NFL job.
