The Chiefs Literally Own the AFC After the Patriots and Texans Completely Botched Everything This Offseason

We truly never thought the day would come, but the New England Patriots have been dismantled, and there's a good chance they barely sniff .500 next season. Throw in the fact the Baltimore Ravens have proven to be a gimmick come playoff time, and the Houston Texans traded away their best player for nothing, and we have one certainty we know to be true for the foreseeable future:

The Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs own the AFC, and there's no way around it.

While Andy Reid and Brett Veach haven't made any momentous offseason moves, they've kept the team intact and made a few minor additions while watching the rest of the AFC crumble. The Ravens now remain their only competition, and we all know what will likely happen if Baltimore has to travel to Kansas City come playoff time.

The same team that ran through the playoffs with epic comeback after epic comeback will run it back again in 2020 with nobody around them getting noticeably better. To think KC won't be better after successful debut seasons from Tyrann Mathieu and Frank Clark, in addition to the return of rookie stud Juan Thornhill from injury, is downright irresponsible.

Nothing against Ryan Tannehill, Lamar Jackson and Deshaun Watson, but if you're saying that's Patrick Mahomes' top competition (when he has better weapons on offense), then Andy Reid is on track to get his second Super Bowl title infinitely faster than he got his first.
