Chiefs Place Spencer Ware on IR in Latest Roster Move
By Mark Powell

Spencer Ware's latest tenure with the Kansas City Chiefs ended before it began, as the veteran running back injured his shoulder against the Chicago Bears last Sunday night.
Ware has been placed on IR for Kansas City, thus ending his season and clearing up a roster spot for DT Xavier Williams. Ware's injury will officially go down as a torn rotator cuff.

With Ware's injury, expect the Chiefs to either sign a running back in free agency or off their practice squad, as they're left with Damien Williams and LeSean McCoy carrying the load. That's not a bad duo to rely on, but the more bodies in the backfield the better entering the postseason.

Did not see RB Spencer Ware (shoulder) out here. Andrew Wylie, Morris Claiborne were present. pic.twitter.com/vPyTTKivo1
In the meantime, getting Williams back will be key, as the DT played a key role for the Chiefs in 2018, registering 48 tackles and 2.5 sacks on KC's defensive line. KC's defense has impressed of late, and having Williams in the fold should only help matters.
