Chiefs Latest Team to Pull Scouts From Pro Days Amid Coronavirus Scare

While organizations continue to prep for the 2020 NFL Draft, the growing concern of the coronavirus is still rocking our nation. With so many necessary measures being taken by all the major sports leagues, we've witnessed games being canceled, seasons suspended, and coaches/players being recommended to stay indoors.
Such is the case for the Kansas City Chiefs, who have decided to send all of their scouts home who were making their way to various Pro Days to check in on prospects.
The Chiefs have done the same, a source tells me. They are exercising extreme caution and are in communication with the league and medical experts regarding the outbreak. https://t.co/1ZBRxWBBlQ

The Chiefs have joined the Eagles and Saints in this move. In the coming days -- maybe even hours -- expect more teams to follow suit.
On Wednesday night, shockwaves were sent throughout the sports world when it was announced Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for COVID-19. The NBA then announced shortly after the news broke that their season would be suspended. Eerie scenes of fans leaving the OKC-Utah game let the world know just how serious this matter is.
For the Chiefs and the NFL, precautions needs to be taken. No question about that.

While fans are ecstatic for the NFL Draft each season, nothing tops someone's personal safety and well-being. Good for the Chiefs to get their scouts home during these trying times.
