So much for that much-discussed Ravens-Terrell Suggs reunion.

While Suggs was reportedly willing to go to great lengths to force his way back to Baltimore after being waived by Arizona, the 37-year-old has instead been claimed by another AFC contender: the Kansas City Chiefs.

Now, we play the waiting game. Will he report?

Claiming Suggs is a savvy move by Kansas City, as it not only keeps him from anchoring a Ravens playoff run, but potentially adds a veteran presence to a defense which has allowed less than 17 points in four straight games. The Chiefs' defense has arguably been their strength of late, which is saying a lot for a team which employs Patrick Freakin' Mahomes.

Suggs' desire to be a Raven is strong, but so is his willingness to compete for another Super Bowl in a crowded AFC. Turning down a chance to do just that with potentially the hottest team in football heading into the season's final two weeks would be self-sabotage at its finest.

The seven-time Pro Bowler had played in 13 games for Arizona this season, recording 5.5 sacks and forcing four fumbles. There's a place for him in KC, should he want it.
