Chiefs Reportedly Fear Starting S Juan Thornhill Will Miss Remainder of Playoffs With Knee Injury

Juan Thornhill has been a pleasant surprise as a rookie in 2019 for the Kansas City Chiefs. That is why it was so concerning when he left Sunday's game with a non-contact injury.
Early reports indicate Thornhill suffered a serious knee injury that could keep him out for the entire postseason.
Sources: The #Chiefs fear that standout rookie S Juan Thornhill suffered a significant knee injury that will knock him out for the playoffs. He’ll have an MRI tomorrow to learn the details. He’s been a key part of that defense.

The Chiefs were able to celebrate earning a first-round bye after the victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, but the extra week of rest may not matter for Thornhill.
Losing anyone right before the postseason is tough, and that's especially true when the player is someone making an impact on a weekly basis. The second-round pick had three interceptions and a touchdown during the regular season and was a great complement to Tyrann Mathieu.

More will be known Monday about Thornhill's status, but right now it's not looking good.
