Chiefs Signing Former Eagles Offensive Lineman Stefen Wisniewski
By Ryan Giglio
The Kansas City Chiefs bolstered their depth along the offensive line by signing after witnessing some troubling issues this past Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.
Former Philadelphia Eagle Stefen Wisniewski joined KC on Tuesday.
The signing comes a couple days after guard Andrew Wylie left Sunday's game with an ankle injury. It's not yet known if Wylie is expected to miss much time, if any, but this move is certainly a smart one.
Wisniewski is an eight-year veteran who has appeared in 123 NFL contests. The 30-year-old was a starter as recently as last season for the Eagles and started all three of the teams postseason games en route to their Super Bowl victory.
Philadelphia released Wisniewski in March, re-signed him May, and then once again cut him before the season started. He's since been a free agent.
Kansas City also signed defensive lineman Terrell McClain since Chris Jones and Xavier Williams are expected to miss time due to injury.
Chiefs fans are hoping these guys can pick up the slack as their main players recover from injury.
