Chiefs Standout DB Bashaud Breeland Reportedly Arrested Tuesday on Multiple Charges
By Adam Weinrib

After the Chiefs did so much financial work to squeeze him onto their 2020 roster, it appears Bashaud Breeland might've squandered the resulting goodwill.
Per reports out of South Carolina, Breeland was arrested on multiple charges Tuesday afternoon in Charlotte.

He was booked at 1:26 pm after being pulled over, and many of the charges reportedly pertain to what was found in his vehicle, as well as his behavior in the initial encounter's aftermath.

According to the Post and Courier, Breeland possessed an open container of either beer or wine, as well as 28 grams or less of marijuana (or 10 grams of hash, per the letter of the law). He was also driving his vehicle without a license.
Though he remained unsigned deep into free agency (it wasn't financially viable for Kansas City to make a move until they restructured a few contracts), Breeland recently inked a one-year, $4.5 million deal in Kansas City, following a Super Bowl in which he was all over the field. Per Matt Verderame of Fansided.com, Breeland's representatives have no comment to make at this time.
