Chiefs Starting Safety Juan Thornhill Carted off Field With Leg Injury
By Ian Anderson

The Kansas City Chiefs could be losing a defensive starter right before the playoffs.
Safety Juan Thornhill was carted off the field with a leg injury against the Los Angeles Chargers in what could be a big blow for the secondary.
Juan Thornhill is being helped off the field. He can’t put any weight on his left leg. They’re putting him on the cart to take him up the tunnel.

Thornhill was not able to put any weight on his leg and was then carted down the tunnel. It's safe to assume he will not be returning to this game, especially with the Chiefs most likely playing a postseason game next week.
The former Virginia Cavalier has started every single game this season and logged 56 tackles to go with three interceptions.
Since the bye week the Chiefs defense is allowing just 9.6 ppg and the Chiefs are outscoring their opponents by an average of 17 points during that stretch

Thornhill has been a huge part of the Chiefs defense's recent success and his injury could not have come at a worse time. Since the bye week, the Chiefs defense has allowed an absurd 9.6 points per game and their offense absolutely clicking.
Stay tuned for updates on his status.
