With NFL mock drafts continuing to make their way into our living rooms, fans in Kansas City are surely impatiently waiting to see which NCAA standout will be joining the team later this month.

Will it be an offensive playmaker? Well, if you ask Tyrann Mathieu, he's hoping the Chiefs bring a speedster on board to help him out in the secondary.

Yup, Mathieu is a big fan of Antoine Winfield Jr., and is surely in Brett Beach's ear about taking him in the first round. The 5-10, 205-pounder out of Minnesota is coming off a spectacular campaign. In 2019, he posted 52 tackles, three pass deflections and an interception he returned 82 yards for a touchdown.

With the Chiefs holding the No. 32 overall pick, could they end up taking Winfield if he's still on the board?

With his blazing speed and strong tackling ability, Winfield is going to be ready to make an immediate impact for whichever team ends up taking a chance on him early in the draft. We'll see if Mathieu's wish comes true, though it could be tough because the Chiefs have last year's rookie standout Juan Thornhill returning from a torn ACL. Will Veach value Mathieu's opinion come draft day?
