Chiefs WR Marcus Kemp Suffers Season-Ending ACL and MCL Tear During Preseason Week 2
By Karl Rasmussen

The Kansas City Chiefs were impressed with second-year wideout Marcus Kemp's production during training camp. The 24-year-old receiver was looking to carve out a roster spot for the 2019 season, but those plans came to a crashing halt when he went down with a knee injury on Saturday.
It's been reported that Kemp suffered both a torn ACL and MCL during the Chiefs' clash with the Steelers, bringing an early and unfortunate end to his season.

He was carted off the field after suffering the knee injury and did not return to the game. An MRI revealed that he had suffered both the ACL and MCL tear.
Kemp had featured in each of the Chiefs' preseason games, logging two receptions for 36 yards.
The Hawaii product registered one catch last year for seven yards. He appeared in all 16 games, mostly being utilized on special teams.

- #Chiefs coach Andy Reid on WR Marcus Kemp, who left early with a knee injury. Kemp had a great three weeks in St. Joe.
Reid added that these injuries will happen with the rules forcing DBs to go low on hits now.
Kemp was undrafted out of the University of Hawaii. He was a four-year starter, logging 176 career receptions for 2,570 yards and 13 touchdown grabs, 8 of which came in his senior season.
It's an unfortunate blow to the Chiefs' receiving corps, as Kemp was beginning to turn heads at training camp and had the potential to become an impact player in KC's offense this year.
