Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill is Leading the NFL in 40-Yard TD Catches Since Before He Even Entered the NFL
By Michael Luciano
Here's this week's masterclass in stating the painfully obvious. Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill is really good at making plays deep down the field.
After entering the league as a fifth-round pick out of West Alabama in 2016, Hill has established himself as the league's premier downfield threat, piling up 20 touchdowns of 40 or more yards, which is the most in the league since 2013.
Everyone else had a three-year head start on Hill, and they still couldn't catch him.
Hill proved on Sunday that his numbers aren't just a product of paying alongside the best deep ball thrower in the league in Patrick Mahomes. With Matt Moore under center, Hill roped in a 40-yard pass and found his way to the end zone, scoring the first Chiefs points in what would be an eventual 26-23 win over the Minnesota Vikings.
With Hill's game-changing speed, the Chiefs will always be able to put up points, be it with Mahomes or Moore under center. He's proving to be worth every penny of that massive contract he signed this offseason.
