Chinese Government Reportedly Deployed Countless Twitter Trolls on Daryl Morey in Wake of Comments

With one single tweet, Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey undermined the NBA's entire Asian market and opened a socio-political can of worms that is growing more complex by the day.
China has been gradually moving away from a relationship with the NBA after Morey tweeted out an image of support for the democratic protests in Hong Kong. In an attempt to further silence criticism, the government has created an army of troll accounts to attack Morey on Twitter, as evidenced by the fact most of the accounts have no followers and have not tweeted before this.
The government in China, famous for its ability to censor actions that most of the outside world deems as excessive, inhumane and immoral, is now trying to change the narrative on Morey via Twitter.
This is not the first time this has happened on Twitter, as the platform removed 936 accounts in August that were linked to a “significant state-backed information operation” trying to spew anti-Hong Kong opinions.
Morey's tweet his caused a political and economic firestorm that continues to rage, and this is not going to slow down with a few trite, ambiguous statements from LeBron James.
