Chipper Jones Praises Georgia Program and Kirby Smart
By Jerry Trotta

Two Georgia football players were trending on social media on Saturday after a grateful fan recounted a story of their selflessness. A visiting family stopped at a local Subway in Athens so their daughter could use the bathroom. However, the mother didn't have her wallet on her because she wasn't aware the facility was for paying customers only.
This prompted dining Bulldogs defensive backs Latavious Brini and Jalen Kimber to step in and buy the child a cookie so that she could use the bathroom.
The generosity behind this act is truly heartwarming and ultimately saw Atlanta Braves legend Chipper Jones take to Twitter to praise Georgia head coach Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs' program as a whole.
Kirby not only getting them ready for the NFL, but teaching them how to be good, responsible men! I’d send my kids there. Kudos to the two young men. Well done! https://t.co/H60ePzcB6P

Jones makes a great point here in saying that the job of a college coach, no matter the sport, isn't just preparing his or her athletes for the professional level. What's equally important is helping them mature and grow as people. It's clear that Smart makes both a priority at Georgia, as Brini and Kimber displayed a charitable instinct that some bystanders would simply pass on in the moment.

Smart and the entire Bulldogs staff should be proud that the two young defensive backs decided to take action and help out that family. If there was ever an example that fellow college coaches should learn from as it pertains to running their program, this is it.
