VIDEO: Chris Harris Claims Tyrann Mathieu is Recruiting Him to Join the Chiefs in Free Agency
By Karl Rasmussen
Chris Harris has spent the past nine seasons ballhawking in Denver's secondary, but his tenure with the Broncos appears to be at its end. With the new league year approaching, Harris claims to have multiple players trying to recruit him, including Tyrann Mathieu. According to Harris, the Chiefs' star safety has been hyping him up over the idea of playing for the reigning Super Bowl champion Chiefs.
Harris said that a lot of teams are recruiting him, and even went as far as to name drop Mathieu while talking to TMZ.
The veteran DB maintained that he's unsure about where he wants to land, but claims that he's whittling down the list from five-to-10 teams.
Adding a former All-Pro DB like Harris to KC's secondary would be a huge coup for the Chiefs, and the 30-year-old mentioned his excitement at the prospect of suiting up alongside Mathieu and star quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Harris said he expects he'll know where he's headed within a day or two of the new league year getting underway, so he'll certainly be hoping the NFL doesn't opt to delay free agency amid the coronavirus outbreak.
