If this report holds true, the New York Jets will receive a massive boost ahead of their matchup versus the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football.

Stud linebacker CJ Mosley profoundly claimed on Thursday that he will suit up and play for Gang Green. "I'm playing Monday night," he said after practice. "Unless I get hurt or something, I'm playing."

Mosley's assertion should take New York by surprise because he still hasn't participated in a legitimate practice since his groin injury, which has kept him off the gridiron since Week 1.

The Alabama product suffered the injury in third quarter of the Jets' Week 1 clash against the Bills. Before he went down, New York held a 16-0 lead. After his departure, however, Gase's side conceded 17 unanswered points and they ended up losing in humiliating fashion, 17-16.

The four-time Pro Bowler was present for Thursday's session, but was only limited to individual drills. Further, head coach Adam Gase claimed early today that he would continue exercising caution with Mosley, as he is one of the team's most essential defensive players.

We respectfully disagree, Brian Costello. In our eyes, it's downright impossible to judge if the 27-year-old is ready for game action based on a light jog.

Mosley's return would obviously be immense for the Jets, who are riding high after upsetting the Cowboys in Week 6. We just hope that he isn't rushing himself back for a divisional showdown with the detested Patriots.
