Georgia Lands Commitment From Gigantic in-State Defensive Lineman

It may be only early March, but Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are already making major moves for the 2021 recruiting class. On Friday morning, they've added a new pledge.
Indeed, 6-6, 265-pound defensive tackle Marlin Dean announced on Twitter he has committed to UGA. He picked the Bulldogs over 12 other programs.

This is a solid get for Smart and Co., especially considering they're keeping the Elberton, Ga. product home. Dean is ranked as the No. 25 defensive tackle in the country and had scholarship offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Florida State, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, among others.
The Dawgs had long been considered a major player in Dean's recruitment, hosting him for a visit in January and really making an impression on him.

He took recent trips to North Carolina and South Carolina, but those experiences didn't top what he felt in Athens. Dean joins 5-star QB Brock Vandagriff and 4-star athlete David Daniel as Georgia's 2021 pledges.
