Classic Notre Dame Arrogance on Full Display With Brian Kelly Quote About Louisville Before Georgia
By Jerry Trotta
You would think that most college football head coaches would refrain from egotism ahead of their biggest game of the season, correct?
It just makes sense to want karma on your side, no?
Well, don't tell that to Notre Dame boss Brian Kelly, who didn't hesitate to slight Louisville ahead of the No.7 Fighting Irish's showdown versus the No.3 Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday night.
It's one to thing to be asked about the season-opener against the Cardinals, which ND won 35-17, but for Kelly to go out of his way to disparage the program oozes smugness, not confidence.
Kelly even took things a massive step further by when he claimed that the Fighting Irish always play in big games, looking past tonight's pivotal clash by stating that his squad faces another tough test at Virginia next weekend.
Something tell us that looking past a team ranked No. 3 in the country does not bode well for the Irish's chances, especially on the road.
Kelly is quite literally asking for the Dawgs to be licking their chops, and to be frank, Kirby Smart's squad should absolutely be doing so. Expect Georgia to come out motivated to make Kelly eat some well-deserved crow in front of the Sanford Stadium crowd.
