VIDEO: Trevor Lawrence Finds Tee Higgins for Explosive 65-Yard Touchdown Against South Carolina

Any whispers of a potential South Carolina upset over No. 3 Clemson have mostly been stifled before the end of the first quarter in Columbia. With Clemson up 7-0 late in the opening period, Trevor Lawrence found some space in the pocket and unleashed an absolute rocket that found Tee Higgins for his second touchdown of the day. And it went 65 big yards in a hurry.

That ball looks like it traveled nearly 60 yards in the air. This is why Lawrence is a strong candidate to be the No. 1 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft if he chooses to declare after his junior year, even after a rocky start to the season by his standards.

The Tigers are still up 14-0 early in the second quarter. Time will tell if South Carolina will be able to shake up the landscape of the College Football Playoffs as it did after beating Georgia earlier in the year, but at this rate, they're going to be stuck playing catch-up.
