Browns Make Another Genius Front Office Hire and Fans Should Be Thrilled
By Brady Williams

As the Cleveland Browns continue to try to make their franchise a true, sustainable threat in the NFL, they've made another hire that should send them in the right direction. After a series of savvy offseason moves, they've just picked up Kwesi Adofo-Mensah to be the Vice President of Football Operations under GM Andrew Berry.
Adofo-Mensah comes from the San Francisco 49ers, where he was the director of football research and development.
The #Browns have hired Kwesi Adofo-Mensah to be their VP of Football Ops under Andrew Berry, I’m told. He was previously the Director of Football Research and Development for the #49ers.

Winning starts from the top down, and putting in place executives and front office staffers that are willing to work together to build a coherent system is essential for sustaining success in the NFL. Berry has emphasized an analytics-driven approach, and by adding Adofo-Mensah, Cleveland gets another successful operator that can help realize that goal.
As head of research and development in San Francisco, Adofo-Mensah helped to establish the system they have in place that won an NFC title. He's the kind of guy who can break down strengths and weaknesses at a granular level and help to squeeze every last bit of effectiveness out of the players on the field.
That's precisely what the underachieving Browns need.

Another solid add to the organization.
Adofo-Mensah is the latest addition to a front office that has rather quietly put together a smart, disciplined offseason. Between himself, Berry, head coach Kevin Stefanski, and chief strategy officer Paul DePodesta, they've got four Ivy Leaguers in place ready to make noise in the AFC North.
That's not a bad position to be in.
