Clint Frazier Saga Gets Even Weirder in First Public Comments Since Leaving Sunday's Game
By Michael Luciano

While Clint Frazier has proven himself at the plate in the 2019 season, his defense in the outfield remains a major issue. Those issues came to a head when some serious defensive blunders cost the Yankees against the Boston Red Sox on Sunday.
Frazier left without speaking to the media, leading some to run with the narrative that he is a bit on the petulant side of things. That narrative only became stronger when Frazier claimed on Tuesday that the media and his unfair treatment is the reason that he did not answer questions after the game.
Clint Frazier said he didn’t talk because he doesn’t owe anyone and apology. He feels media has been unfair. Knows he let his teammates down. #Yankees

Frazier threw even more gasoline on this burgeoning fire by saying that he isn't required to do post game interviews, and that his teammates shouldn't speak for him.
Clint Frazier addressed reporters just now for first time to the group since rough fielding Sunday. He was both defiant & remorseful. In avoiding the media then, “I don’t regret it.” Said it’s not in the rules to speak to reporters & that teammates speaking for him make it worse.

Clint, if you think the media in New York is unfair, then you are in for a rude awakening.
Frazier is going to be a Yankee for the foreseeable future, as his skill at the plate is quickly becoming invaluable for the 2019 team. However, before he improves his defense, he needs a lesson in accountability. If the Yankees can quickly teach him how to handle the media and he owns up to his bad defense, this whole saga will be completely in the past.
