During Tuesday's win over the Pitt Panthers, Duke fans jeered opposing coach Jeff Capel, who used to play and coach for the Blue Devils. In response, Duke's head coach Mike Krzyzewski yelled at the fans, telling them to "shut up," as he is "one of us".

Coach K apparently did not understand exactly what they were saying, however, and felt bad about the way he handled the situation. In order to explain himself, Krzyzewski held a meeting with the Cameron Crazies to apologize.

Many coaches would've simply come up with an excuse as to why they were justified in the outburst. However, Coach K admitted he was wrong and apologized, albeit a day later.

To put it simply, Coach K believes that the fans should be cheering for their team, as opposed to jeering the opponents. Still, that's just not how college basketball student sections operate these days. It's not that simple.

Even the live broadcast realized Krzyzewski was in the wrong for lambasting his own fans on Tuesday night, and after some serious consideration, Coach K came to the same conclusion.
