Coby White is no longer suiting up for the North Carolina Tar Heels, but that doesn't mean he's forgotten his college roots. White, now a member of the Bulls, had a career night on Tuesday, including draining seven 3's in a single quarter. After the game he met with his former coach Roy Williams for an embrace and jokingly asked the Tar Heels skipper to come to more of his games.
The rookie gave a shoutout to Williams and thanked him for coming out to support him.
White finished the game with 27 points, shooting 8-of-14 from the field and 7-for-11 from deep. It was his second 20-plus point game in the NBA and his fourth straight contest notching double digit points.
On the season, White is averaging 12.6 points and is shooting 30.8% from deep. The Bulls selected the point guard with the seventh overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and he's already being given ample opportunity to impress in his first year the Association.
