Cody Bellinger Line Drive Hits Young Girl in Head at Dodger Stadium
By Karl Rasmussen

Some terribly scary news out of Dodger Stadium Sunday.
During the team's clash with the Rockies, Cody Bellinger sent a line drive into the seats. Unfortunately, the ball was sent into a section of the stadium not covered by protective netting and a young girl was struck. She initially remained in her seat and was given an ice pack, though it seems her condition worsened as she was then reportedly stretchered out of the stadium, escorted by police officers.
The fan, a young girl, who was struck by the foul ball hit by Cody Bellinger is now leaving the stadium on a stretcher with a police escort. Initially, she received an ice pack and appeared to be doing okay. We will do our best to provide any updates.

It's unclear how severe the injuries are, or whether her removal from the game was a precautionary measure. We're holding out hope for good news.
The girl who was hit in the forehead by the foul ball is now being removed from her seat to receive medical attention.

This isn't the first time this year a fan has been injured by a hard-hit foul ball. Chicago Cubs' Albert Almora Jr. also sent a ball into the seats earlier in the season that ended up hitting a young fan.
The calls for MLB to extend their protective netting will certainly beckon louder than ever following this latest horrifying incident, but for now, we're keeping this young girl in our thoughts and praying that she has a speedy and full recovery.
This stands as another reminder that even watching from the seats at an MLB game can be dangerous, especially considering this era when the ball is being hit harder than ever.
