Perfect Photo of Cody Garbrandt Knockout of Raphael Assuncao Emerges
By Michael Luciano
Cody Garbrandt won a UFC fight for the first time in years when he finally felled Raphael Assuncao with one second left in the second round during their clash at UFC 250.
Garbrandt's knockout of Assuncao right before the horn sounded on the second round of their fight was one of the most devastating blows we've seen in the UFC this year, and Jeff Bottari's photo that captured this moment shows the kind of punching power Garbrandt has.
Garbrandt's star shone brightest right after knocking out Dominick Cruz to take home the UFC Bantamweight title. Garbrandt then plummeted back down the rankings after losing to TJ Dillashaw twice before Pedro Munhoz obliterated him.
With this dominant win, we're one step closer to getting back the "No Love" Garbrandt we all remember.
It's unfortunate a quality fighter like Assuncao had to be Garbrandt's pommel horse on the road back to respectability, but it looks like the former title holder is motivated to make people fear him yet again.
