VIDEO: Colin Cowherd Insists Titans Making Super Bowl Would Be Bad for the NFL
By Will Coleman

Could anyone possibly imagine the Tennessee Titans making it to the Super Bowl this year? It still feels unlikely despite the scalps they've claimed this postseason, but they're just a game away from pulling off the shocker after winning consecutive games on the road in Foxborough and Baltimore. What would be a cool and inspiring story for many, however, would instead be a nightmare for the NFL in the eyes of Colin Cowherd.

Cowherd argued on FS1's "The Herd" that as Tom Brady and the Patriots fizzle out as the league's undisputed dynasty, it will be crucial for the NFL's TV ratings to have a team takes their place relative to entertainment value and global brand, something he doesn't think a team like the Titans can manage as a smaller-market franchise.
After naming Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce as franchise cornerstones that fans can look forward to watching play for years to come, Cowherd refered to the Chiefs as "jet fuel to the NFL." He thinks there's pressure on head coach Andy Reid and Kansas City to win this weekend if they want to establish themselves as that next dynasty to take the baton as resoundingly as possible from the Pats.

A win this weekend would put the Chiefs in their first Super Bowl since 1970. But given the Titans' status as giant-killers this postseason, getting the job done will still be a tall task.
