Colts Fans Want Refunds for Season Tickets After Andrew Luck Retirement
By Kevin Aquino
Colts fans aren't done expressing outrage after booing Andrew Luck on Saturday when word of his impending retirement permeated through the stands. Now, Indianapolis season ticket holders are reportedly looking for refunds now that Luck is off the roster.
Fans have been making phone calls to the Colts, demanding they get their money back, though there's been no word on whether their requests will be honored.
With a player of Luck's caliber essentially evaporating into thin air, the Colts' immediate future has flipped upside down. Indianapolis' level of play is sure to decline without Luck, and nobody wants to see losing football, but Colt fans could be overreacting just a smidge.
Firstly, it's not a good start for the relationship between fans and new starting QB, Jacoby Brissett. Fans who want to rescind their season tickets are effectively writing him off and vocalizing their lack of faith. And secondly, demanding refunds after booing Luck for making the personal choice that was best for him is just poor taste with bad timing.
