While seemingly every major sport's franchise is working on ways to combat the spread of COVID-19 and create programs to support their staffs financially, others are getting creative to enhance the scarce supply of protective masks for health care workers.

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay took to Twitter on Sunday to share his own latest contribution. Irsay says that he's "procured" at least 10,000 N95 masks that he is sending to Indiana's Department of Health in hopes of helping the Hoosier State turn the tide against the coronavirus.

Irsay's donation will be distributed to hospitals and health care workers around Indiana that need them most at this critical time. With doctor, nurses, and other critical workers directly exposed to the virus by working with patients, Irsay wanted to make sure these brave people on the front lines are as protected and safe as possible.

Irsay also donated $1 million to an Indianapolis food bank last month. The Colts owner is certainly playing his part in the state's fight against COVID-19 as the nation and the world all buckle down.

Along with Patriots owner Robert Kraft's contribution of over one million protective masks, Irsay's donation will go a long way in assisting those who need it most.
