Colts QB Jacoby Brissett Suffered Left MCL Sprain During Sunday's Loss
By Chris Pyo

The Indianapolis Colts suffered a major scare when quarterback Jacoby Brissett went down with a leg injury during the second quarter against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Well, the signal caller didn't return to the game, and early Monday morning it was revealed that Brissett suffered a sprain to his left MCL, and while that's far from pleasant, it's encouraging that the injury isn't more severe.
Can confirm Jacoby Brissett suffered sprain to left MCL, but Colts haven't ruled him out of Miami game. Yet. Waiting for MRI results to determine severity.

The last thing Colts fans want to go through is more heartbreak at the quarterback position, especially after Andrew Luck's shocking retirement this past offseason.
Brissett's done an admirable job replacing Luck this year, leading the Colts to a 5-3 record and keeping them in the playoff hunt. He's thrown for 14 touchdowns against only three interceptions and has an impressive quarterback rating of 99.7.

The Colts will take on the one-win Dolphins in Week 10, and Brissett's status for the clash remains up in the air. We'll know more once the results of his MRI are in, which is scheduled for Monday, but there's a chance Brian Hoyer ends up getting the start next week.
Stay tuned for updates on Brissett's knee, but fortunately it looks like he avoided a serious or longterm injury.
