This Colts-Seahawks Draft Day Trade Could Net Indianapolis Justin Jefferson or Another Elite WR
By Mark Powell

The Indianapolis Colts traded away their first-round pick to the San Francisco 49ers for DeForest Buckner, and it's hard to blame them. Indy now possesses a very strong defensive line, but they've voided the opportunity to add to their war chest on offense.
Or have they?
The Colts have the draft capital to trade back into the first round should they choose. In a matter of just a few slots, they could net themselves another stud receiver to go alongside TY Hilton.
#LSU WR Justin Jefferson knew the “question of the Combine was, ‘Was I going to be fast enough?’” After his ??? 4.43, Jefferson reacted on RapSheet + Friends: “I worked hard for that time.” More from him, #Colts LB Darius Leonard all all Combine rewind: https://t.co/Wp9xco8R8U

Assuming Indy doesn't want to nab their QB of the future just yet, the likes of Justin Jefferson or Tee Higgins would be their best bet at the back end of the first round. To do so, they should trade up with the Seattle Seahawks, who are once again poised to trade back, as they have so many times under John Schneider.
To trade up to No. 27, the Colts would have to deal away pick No. 34 early in the second round, as well as a future third and fifth-round selection. If that seems steep, Indy can stagger them so they don't lose three picks in exchange for one in 2020. It's a fair move, and one Indianapolis should be prepared to make.

From Seattle's perspective, this is a strategy that's worked for them in the past, and can allow them to bring in more talent to surround Russell Wilson. It's a savvy move from a front office that's known for such decisions, even if the fanbase would rather they not, for once.
