Missouri Newspaper Publishes Tremendous Obituary for Cardinals Fan Who Recently Passed Away
By Jerry Trotta

If you take a step away from the polarizing financial dispute between MLB players and owners as part of the ongoing efforts to start the 2020 season at long last, you'll come to realize that there are still plenty of things to feel good about pertaining to the National Pastime.
Take this awesome obituary that the Columbia Missourian published in honor of a St. Louis Cardinals fan that recently passed away, Barry Kausler.
Barry was a huge Cardinals fan. The @CoMissourian had a wonderful obituary today, including this line: https://t.co/ib647iLw8R pic.twitter.com/SU7Jm4dBKE

This is as good as it gets.
The fact that Kausler spent some of his last days watching the Cardinals' iconic World Series win over the Texas Rangers in 2011 says everything about his fandom for the club. Seriously, who could forget David Freese's uncanny heroics in both the NLCS and Fall Classic?
We didn't know Kausler personally, but that fact alone proves that it deserved to be mentioned in his obituary. The detail of his man-love for Adam Wainwright is easily relatable, as we're sure that many fans share a similar infatuation with the Redbirds hurler.
Heartbreaking. Chatted with Barry a bunch when I was in college. He was such a beloved guy, husband, father. Funny, laid back.

Sheila, Barry’s wife, was my all-time favorite boss. They have 3 children. Please keep the Kausler family in your thoughts. ??❤️https://t.co/9ZdbtJRMYZ
The outpouring of love Kausler has received on social media is awe-inspiring, and we send our sincerest condolences to his family during this difficult time.
